Brotz N.19 Bakery & Cafe @ Bandar Sunway

Infusing new life into the Sunway neighbourhood, believed that Brot’z have become another great option whether for a quick lunch or dinner for the students.
Scroll down the great review!

The creamy seafood tom yam pasta was, as the name suggested, very creamy. Great for people who loves heavy, cream based pastas with lots of sauce to go around. (I’m sure we have all experienced the annoyance of having to eat pasta dry cause there just wasn’t enough sauce to coat the noodles)

There was a distinctive smell of tom yam when the spaghetti was served, and the first bite caught me off guard. It was spicyyyy!! Not the kind which makes you feel like you’re on fire, but it was a definite shock to the system. And by that, I mean the good kind of shock. The kind that’s addictive and keeps you wanting more till you’ve seen the last of it disappear.
Unlike the usually Thai tom yam we get however, there wasn’t much of lime detected but I felt that the tom yam went very well with the cream sauce as the spiciness made it more acceptable for people who gets ‘jelat’ easily when eating cream based food and the cream kind of makes the tom yam less spicy.
The said seafood present was a few pieces of i-have-no-idea-what-but-it’s-probably-dory fish and calamari. Nothing to shout about here but I’ve no complains, seeing that it’s part of the lunch set meal which costs only rm15.90 which include either the tom yam creamy pasta or the _________ with a drink and dessert (which was actually 2 slices of watermelon).

There’s an option to top up your drink to a coffee for only rm5 or your dessert to a scoop of baskin Robbin ice cream for rm6.

Dotty’s @ TTDI

Infusing new life into the TTDI neighborhood, Dotty’s was recently opened which specialized in pastries and coffee. Hot food is served though. Our visit is to try out their salted egg yolks cronut as these dishes currently are best selling fixtures on menu, proving to be a hit with diners.
Window Display <3
Scene that you would see once you entered their doorstep. It make me reminds of Paris!
The Interior

The bright and ambiance interior made up with solid blue walls, large window frames furnished with tiffany blue seats and white marble table.

Salted Egg Yolk Cronut (RM11)
Here’s the star amongs of the selection menu is to die for. This cronut has a crispy shell and slightly gooey interior with a hint of salted egg yolks.
Lemon Meringue Donuts (RM5)
Surprisingly, this lemon meringue donuts is exceeds our expectation. Fragrant and the yellowish lemon sauce is just all right to the taste (not too sour and not to sweet) as compared to other cafes which normally come in very sour.

Not only french pastries, they also serve hot food, salad and coffee.
Overall, it is a pretty pleasant dining experience – great food, environment and hospitality too!
We used to rate Le Bread Days’ and The Bread Shop, this is the lead for us.
Stay tuned!

Thyme Out @ Subang Jaya SS15

What come into your mind when someone talk about mexican food? A diverse mix of bright flavors and appealing textures with an undeniable penchant for spicy heat, I would say. Frankly, it is not easy to find authentic, zesty and flavourful mexican food in Klang Valley/Malaysia. Guess what? A new mexican eatery around SS15 definitely could fixed your taste buds with a promising satisfaction. Thyme Out which located in the middle of the busy street at SS15, originally start up their business from a food truck which is run by a young team. Due to high demand of customers, they decided to expand their business by opening a shop and it definitely brings a convenience for customers to drop by whenever they need a quick fix. Currently, you can enjoy varieties choice of mexican cuisine with the reasonable price.

The shop is strategically located along Jalan SS15/4G, opposite of Fat Baby's Ice Cream.

Our favourite interior part of the cafe!
Sufficient of natural light, photogenic and greenish environment. Simple yet tidy.

Lamb Taco. *recommended
3 soft wheat tortillas with cheese, spicy enchilada, sauce and lamb.
The warm taco and distinctive flavour of lamb fillings comes with the fresh cabbage, tomato and sprinkle with cheese is just wonderful!

Burrito. *recommended
10'' tortillas stuffed with mexican spiced rice and lamb.
Tortilla that fold snugly with the warm lamb fillings and mexican spiced rice which is perfect for a hearty meal on the go.

Churros comes with Nutella as dipping. (RM11)
The crunchy and perfectly deep-fried of outer part comes with bit of chewy in the middle is the plus point of this plate and goes well with the chocolate dipping.

The another highlight of the meal- sweet potato fries.
Believe me, you dont know what is calories when you eating it! Heh

Shaken Green (RM9)
Well blended green tea shake.

Berry-Berry (RM12) *recommended
Using fresh berries as part of their ingredients ultimately turn out to be a refreshing and cooling blended yogurt drink.

Overall, I would say that taco and burrito paired with lamb is the perfect marriage of flavours that make this cuisine truly delightful to enjoy. (Of course, it may comes perfectly too if paired with chicken or beef.) Worth to said that they do really serve yummilicious lamb, the varities of herb ingredients infused aroma magically into the dish. Other than that, their drinks like Berry-Berry is our favourite and most recommended. We were pleased with their food, drinks, cozy environment and of course their friendly service!
Ps. Their food truck will be around TTDI or Damansara, spot them out!
